The DevOps Engineer will be pivotal in optimizing the software engineering processes and tools used for real-time financial trading systems at our company. This role focuses on improving the speed, efficiency, and reliability of both development and operations, integrating cutting-edge technologies into our financial systems, and ensuring the high availability and security essential to the financial markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain robust continuous integration and deployment pipelines to support high-frequency trading applications.
- Infrastructure as Code: Manage cloud-based infrastructure and on-premises resources using automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Real-Time System Monitoring: Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions to ensure system performance and reliability, detect anomalies, and facilitate rapid response to any issues.
- Collaboration with Development and QA Teams: Work closely with developers and QA teams to ensure efficient development environments and the seamless integration of new code into production.
- Security Compliance: Maintain and enforce security standards required by regulatory bodies; manage access controls, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize system configurations to manage load and latency to meet the demands of high-speed trading.
- Disaster Recovery and Backup: Design and manage strategies to ensure data integrity and availability in case of hardware failure or other disruptions.
Required qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in DevOps environments, preferably in financial services or other high-stakes, security-conscious sectors.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and other container management solutions.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or Travis CI.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and managing secure cloud infrastructures.
- Knowledge of network security, data encryption, and secure coding practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator, or similar.
- Experience with financial software or real-time transaction processing systems.
- Understanding of financial markets and trading technologies.
